AGM
Our Anual General Meeting takes place May 8th at the MHL offices on 3065 Ridgeway Drive, Unit 34 Mississauga, ON L5L 5M6 (Near Costco). The meeting starts at 7 PM. We encourage everyone to attend and if you are thinking of volunteering in anyway then this is a great time to come out at talk to the current board members.

Minor Peewee A team wins Silver at the "Pro Hockey Life Clancy Tournament"
Clarkson Hurricanes Minor Peewee A team wins Silver at the "Pro Hockey Life Clancy Tournament". This extended tournament took place from Feb 25 to April 14 in a variety or greater Toronto Arenas. After 9 games of undefeated hockey, Clarkson's 10th and deciding final game came down to a 1 goal decision vs York Mills. Congratulations to Bryan Valentini, Sierra Tavares, Payton McWilliams, Jordan Patience, Christopher Pegios, Dylan Crozier, Joshua Argiropoulos, Adam DaSilva, Kyle Arsenault, Greg Hall, Marshall Garrett, Christina Papaioannou, Joshua Beechener, Brett Roessler, Kyle McCallum. Bantam Red Team Wins the Caledon Masters Select Tournament!
Clarkson's Bantam Red Team Wins the "Caledon Masters Select Tournament" held April.13-15, 2012 in Caledon, Ontario. The team played against several select teams from Oro, Orangeville, Richmond Hill, and Meadowvale. The team captured the "Gold Medal" with a 4-1 victory over the Oro Thunder.

Peewee A win GTHL Playdown
The Clarkson Hurricanes Peewee A team has had an outstanding 2011-2012season earning MHL season and playoff titles and the GTHL Championshiptitle. During the season they played 35 games with 29 wins, 3 losses and 3ties and a league leading goal differential of 0.7512. The Hurricanesaveraged over 5 goals a game totaling 151 goals for the season (48 goalsahead of their nearest competitor). They also excelled outside theirleague winning 1 gold and 4 silver tournament medals in 6 tournamentappearances. They played hard all season playing a total of 91 games with67 wins, 14 losses and 10 ties.Additional photos are on the Clarkson Facebook page.

Minor Peewee Red Team Cares
Everyone knows that no matter how many kids are playing, the hockey community is a small one.
Recently, Lorne Park suffered the loss of one of their players and through this small world of people knowing people, our team knew of the child and family, their struggles and ultimately, their heartbreaking loss. Below is the thank you note sent to our team.
"Dear Coaches Parents and hockey players of the Clarkson Minor Pee Wee Red Team,
It has been almost two months since our son's Steven passing. Our family haven't forgotten and always will be grateful for the outpouring support from many of the MHL hockey team members and their families.
In a special way we would like to thank the Families of the Clarkson Minor Pee Wee Red Team for expressing your sympathy and support by presenting our family with the generous monetary donation. Your assistance has helped ease some of the financial burden. We were very moved by your generosity and kindness.
Steven would be very happy to know that so many people cared for him and his family and that he touched so many of you in different ways. Steven was very compassionate about hockey. He loved the game and the challenges to play against other teams. He put his heart and soul into every game he played whether he played as a goalie or a player. He was very sad when he could not play hockey any more as his illness progressed but kept taping his sticks to get them ready for the next game.
Once again, thank you for your thoughtfulness and we wish your families well and your children the best of luck in their hockey endeavours; that their dreams come true."
Clarkson is very proud of the thoughtfulness and caring exhibited by our Minor Peewee Red team.

Minor Novice Red/White Team
Congratulations to the Minor Novice Red/White Team on the Gold medal win!!
The Minor Novice Red/White Team participated in the 2nd Annual West Hill February Freeze Tournament in the Minor Novice House League division on the weekend of February 17-19. After a year of fantastic improvement and commitment by the team, Clarkson won the tournament in stunning fashion.
We had our sponsor, Weston Auto Leasing, at the game and enjoying the celebration afterwards. Thank you for your continued support during the season!

CONGRATULATIONS to Angela Huo!!
Angela was a winner of her age group for the Canadian Tire NHL Junior Skills competition!
She was on CBC at centre ice with her medal and trophy during the competition. Congratulations Angela! Great job.
